Who is behind Island Vacation Tips?

The web facility Island Vacation Tips is edited and owned by Soren Breiting.

Soren is a biologist, environmentalist, photographer and communicator who has traveled world wide and not least enjoyed islands for vacation and work for decades. Alone or with his wife or as part of a group he has collected information and points of view of the best islands for travel and vacation in many countries.

As a father of four grownup children and a grandfather of 5 grandchildren (soon 6 J ) his perspective isn’t only on the ‘egoist traveler’ as a single or as a couple – as nice as that can be – but very much on the potential of islands for family vacations, fulfilling many options for activities, fun and relaxation.

Soren Breiting is living in the town Hoersholm north of Copenhagen in Denmark when he isn’t on one of his many travels.

Denmark is itself blessed with a large number of small islands (and a few bigger islands) and the Breiting family is enjoying staying at a very small island where they have their vacation house.

To find accommodation, rented or permanently owned, on an island for vacation had been in focus for long time beforehand, involving consideration of the quality of the environment of the island, including the quality of the sandy beach, security issues and how peaceful a place an island could be.
